More than one month ago I moved for studying to Germany. And to tell you the truth, it’s not the same sense to be a tourist or live in the country! 💭You could see quite a lot of unexpected things, which you didn’t notice before or even didn’t think about it. So I would be happy to share my impressions with you and explore new country together. 🕊 Are you up for it? 

Weberhaus – the most colorful building at Maximilianstrasse. The paintings are like a magnet to the eyes immediately drawing your attention.

Firstly, short info about the town: 

🔹 Augsburg is known as a city of innovation. It is the third-largest city in Bavaria after Munich and Nuremberg. 

🔹 Also it’s called as “Europe’s greenest and most livable city”. ☀️🌱 

🔹 Augsburg has rich nature around – Alpine rivers, lakes, natural parks and canals. 💦

🔹 It’s the second oldest town in Germany with history more than 2000 years. 

🔹 In Augsburg factory had been developed the first diesel engine. 

🔹 Even though the town was destroyed during World War II,  there are still enough touristic attractions. For example, Mozart museum or the oldest social housing estate in the world – Fuggerei. 👀

Прошло чуть больше месяца с того момента как я переехала на учебу в Германию. 🇩🇪 И сказать по-правде, посещать страну как турист и жить в ней – это совсем разные ощущения! Мне стали открываться вещи, о которых я раньше не догадывалась или на которые не обращала внимания. Поэтому мне хочется делиться с Вами своими открытиями и изучать новую страну вместе. 🤗 Как вам такая идея? 

Fuggerei – the world’s oldest social housing complex still in use. It takes its name from the Fugger family and was founded in 1516 by Jakob Fugger the Younger as a place where the needy citizens of Augsburg could be housed. 

Начну с краткого описания города, в котором я сейчас живу. 

🔸 Аугсбург – это город инноваций на юго-западе Баварии. Третий по величине после Мюнхена и Нюрнберга. 🗺

🔸 Считается «самым живым и зелёным» городом в Германии. 🌳🌿

🔸 Аугсбург также называют городом трёх рек или городом каналов. Кроме того, по городу раскиданы источники с природной питьевой водой. 

🔸 Аугсбург является одним из самых старинных немецких городов. На данный момент его возраст более 2000 лет. 🏙 

🔸 Именно в Аугсбурге был разработан первый в мире дизельный двигатель. 🚙

🔸 Несмотря на то, что город был сильно разрушен во времена войны, в нем много достопримечательностей. Например, дом-музей Моцарта или самое старое в мире социальное поселение Фуггерай.
